Music recording has gone through an extraordinary evolution, and understanding its analog origins may prove essential to making the most of the potential of digital technologies today.
This music production masterclass offers a journey through the history and techniques of recording, showing how knowledge of traditional methodologies can enrich and enhance the creative process in the modern field.
Maestro Andrea Leprotti will guide you through the following topics:

- Choosing a microphone: characteristics and different uses
- Monophony, stereophony and surround sound
- Mixer and multitrack recording
- Digital Audio Workstations(DAWs), imitations of analog consoles
- Synthesizers: basic principles

The Masterclass will be held on Sunday, December 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cascina Merlata SpazioVivo Conference Hall .
Andrea Leprotti was born in Rome in 1979.
Watching the film "New Cinema Paradiso" and discovering the Beatles stirred in him an uncontrolled passion for music that he cultivated from the tender age of eleven.
In 1997 he began a thriving live activity as a bassist, and in parallel he began studies that led to his five-year degree from the Saint Louis Music Center in Rome(Electric Bass and Composition) in 2002.
In 2002, he was hired at Cinecittà as a music consultant for various TV shows such as"Amici di Maria De Filippi,""X-Factor," "Zelig," "Big Brother," and many others abroad as well.
In 2010, he moved to Milan and, thanks to Loretta Martinez-a nationally renowned vocal coach who became instrumental in his life-he opened instrument, harmony and style courses at his VMS (Vocal Music System) institute.
In 2016, he obtained the highest degree of Diploma(LLCM) in Bass Teaching with Highest Honors, and at the same time he obtained Grade 8 of Pop Theory at West London University.
A multi-instrumentalist, in addition to bass, he also plays piano, guitar, drums, chromatic harmonica and alto sax. He prides himself on continuing to study all aspects of music, from classical to trap, sometimes even dressing as a deejay.
