Yamaha Junior Music Course is a group course designed to accompany children between the ages of 4 and 5 years old in the development of musical ear and basic musical skills, coordination and collaborative skills through music.
Yamaha is recognized by the Ministry of Education as an accredited training institution according to Directive 170/2016.
The child will learn note reading intuitively and naturally, as well as experiment directly with the keyboard, the most accessible and understandable instrument for beginners. This hands-on experience enables the child to understand the structure of music, causing him or her to explore the concepts of melody and harmony in a concrete and simultaneous way from the very beginning.

The child will learn note reading intuitively and naturally, as well as experiment directly with the keyboard, the most accessible and understandable instrument for beginners. This hands-on experience allows little student to understand the structure of music, letting him or her explore melodic, harmonic, rhythmic and formal aspects early on in a concrete and simultaneous way.
Yamaha’s method makes extensive use of ensemble activities that allow the child to develop his or her collaborative skills, respect for roles and social interaction skills.
At the peak of their auditory development, children will refine their melodic, harmonic and rhythmic ear and coordination skills, thus learning music as if it were a mother tongue and approaching the keyboard in a practical and creative way. Classes are group, weekly and generally last 1 hour, but the duration is always adaptable according to the children’s level of attention and effort. We limit classes to a maximum of 8 children, plus chaperones, to ensure that each receives adequate attention.

Participation in the class requires the presence of a parent or adult accompanist for each child, which is essential to facilitate the child’s learning. The accompanist assists and participates in the lesson, conveying to the child the joy and beauty of experiencing and having fun with music.
All original Yamaha material developed specifically for this course will be provided. In addition to the books, the material is accompanied by the original music, featuring the highest quality arrangements and orchestrations to accustom children to good music. Finally, the material is complemented by interactive tools that will be used to address the different subjects of which the course is composed.
